The Carter County Free Fair has been a yearly event for over 100 years; it became incorporated on September 11th, 1942. This year is the 77th annual event. The Carter County Free Fair Board consists of nine Board of Directors who are elected through election governed by the Carter County Commissioners for a three-year term. It is the mission of the Carter County Free Fair, our county’s longest running event, to entertain and promote our county’s traditions, talents, diversity, vision and Agricultural Heritage, safely and to promote education for the youth of Carter County through exhibits and tours free of charge. The Pride of Texas Carnival is a family owned carnival from the Waco, Texas area. They bring an abundance of amusement rides, games and food to the Carter County Fair for lots a family fun and entertainment.

Bring the family and join us at the Ardmore Parks and Recreation’s Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration! Our Christmas Market begins at 11:00a for all your holiday shopping needs. Food trucks, entertainment, and much more all centered around the beautiful Christmas Tree Lighting in Central Park. This will be an amazing celebration to start the Christmas season on November 27th. Entertainment begins at 4:30p. The lighting of the tree occurs at approximately 6:15p.

A fall tradition in Southern Oklahoma returns for its 47th season in 2018. It's the Carter County Arts and Crafts Festival & Food Fair. It takes place on Friday, November 9th and Saturday, November 10 at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Festival hours are from 9 am to 8 pm on Friday, November 9th and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, November 10th. Admission to the festival is free and parking is $3 per car.

Looking for FREE fun for the family this Halloween? Come out to Glen Rabe Motors 220 Holiday Drive in Ardmore on October 31, 2018 from 5pm-8pm. We are going to have Trunk or Treat, Carnival games, contests for the best carved pumpkin, the best painted pumpkin and the best costume. There will also be booth spaces available for your business, free of charge (all that is required is that you set up a carnival style game with prizes and/or candy for trick or treaters) you can offer/advertise your services/products.
