ALT Children's Theatre presents: Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook

A terrible thing happened to Junie B.! And it's called--someone took her new black furry mittens! And they kept them! They didn't even put them in the Lost and Found at school. So when Junie B. finds a wonderful pen on the floor, she should be allowed to keep it, too. Ardmore Little Theatre ensemble will take audiences in to the wacky life and times of Junie B. Jones.

MLK Day Parade and Celebration

Please come and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s dream with us on Monday, January 20, 2020. The celebration will begin at 10:00a with a parade starting at P Street and ending at the HFV Wilson Community Center. Registration for the parade is necessary for planning. You can register at the HFV Wilson Community Center. The parade fee is $10 per entry. Parade line up starts at 9:00a. After the parade, please join us for our traditional celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the HFV Wilson Community Center.

Todd Mosby's New Horizons Ensemble

Todd Mosby’s New Horizons Ensemble is a perfect blend of original acoustic instrumentals with timeless classics by Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and James Taylor. An innovative guitarist, composer & improvisor who creates an intriguing combination of new age, jazz, folk and world music, Mosby’s music is genre-defying. The ensemble has forged a refined sound which few groups achieve. This project is generously funded by Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Oklahoma Arts Council.

Arkansas Territory Juried Show

Beginning in March of 2019, Heart of America Artists Association will be joining with the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma, to commemorate the 200th year of the Arkansas Territory. Approximately 80 two-dimensional artworks in a variety of mediums, by artists from nine states, have been juried into a collection and are based on people, places, objects, stories and cultures from two centuries of the geographical Arkansas Territory. The Exhibition will travel to several locations including museums and galleries in Arkansas and Oklahoma between 2019 and 2021.

Bolshoi Ballet: The Nutcracker

A holiday tradition for the whole family, The Nutcracker enchants the Bolshoi stage for two hours of enchantment and magic. Along with Tchaikovsky’s cherished score and and some of the Bolshoi’s greatest artists, The Nutcracker remains a treasure not to be missed.

Night on Polar Express

Breakfast with Santa & Candy Cane Scramble

This special event includes an early visit from Santa, a plated breakfast, holiday crafts, festive music, and holiday fun! Christmas is the season for love and giving to others. Children will also have the opportunity to make a special gift for a loved one. Don’t forget our candy cane scramble! Hundreds of candy canes will be scattered all over our yard! Children will have the opportunity to grab as many candy canes as possible during our Candy Cane Scramble!

Texas Boys' Choir

For more than 70 years, Texas Boys Choir has been instrumental in instilling a love of artistic expression and a desire to succeed in its young members. Today, Texas Center for Arts Academics is a strong voice in the North Texas arts community, and an active advocate for providing young people the means and opportunity to explore and excel in their lives. Since 1946, the mission of Texas Boys Choir has been to develop personal excellence & inspire a lifelong passion for choral artistry. Boys in grades 3-12 sing in treble, mixed, & men’s choirs under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. D. Jason Bishop. This project is generously funded by Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Oklahoma Arts Council.

Jolly Trolley

Climb aboard our private Jolly Trolley and step into the world of your favorite Christmas stories! The night begins with hot chocolate and cookies around Central Park’s Christmas Tree as we patiently await the magical ride. Once aboard the Jolly Trolley, we will whisk away to the Festival of Lights and enter the Winter Wonderland of over 150 displays of twinkling lights with story-telling along the way. The Jolly Trolley will return to Central Park. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance, they won’t last long!
