Festival of Lights

November 17th, 2018 6:00 PM - December 30th, 2018 - 11:00 PM
Ardmore's Joyful 1.5 mile drive-thru Festival of Lights display located in Regional Park opens Saturday, November 17th following the Chigger Chase and closes Sunday, December 30th. With over 125 displays, the Festival of Lights is one of the largest holiday light displays in Southern Oklahoma! Crank up the Christmas tunes and visit our sparkling winter wonderland!

Santa's Mailbox

November 27th, 2018 All Day - December 19th, 2018
On November 27th a special mailbox will appear at Central Park! Children can mail their letters straight to the North Pole to Santa’s Workshop! Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your letter to Santa and he will personally answer each letter. The last day for Santa’s Mailbox is December 19th!

Santa's Workshop

November 30th, 2018 6:00 PM - December 1st, 2018 - 10:00 PM
Santa will be in town Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st at his Workshop in Ardmore Regional Park. After the Festival of Lights, stop by to get a picture with Santa, make a couple of gifts for a loved one, and enjoy some homemade goodies. We give away a family fun pack each night so make sure you visit the registration table for a chance to win! As we know Santa is very busy this time of year! He will only be in town from 6:00p –10:00p for one weekend only! Goodies and pictures will be available for purchase for a small fee. Santa’s Workshop is also the perfect place to drop off a gift for Toys for Tots!

Christmas Cookie Decorating & Royal Icing 101

Students will learn: How to make rolled sugar cookies and royal icing from scratch. You will learn about royal icing consistencies and how to ice and decorate beautiful Christmas cookies. Students will decorate 1 dozen cookies each.

Toys for Tots Children’s Christmas Parade

The 41st annual Toys for Tots Southern Oklahoma Children’s Christmas Parade is slated for Saturday. The entry fee for participating in the parade is either a cash donation of $25 or a donated toy that costs roughly the same. Donations will be distributed to kids in Carter County by Toys for Tots. Parade floats will start lining up at 9 a.m. in the old Walker Stadium lot by the Greater Southwest Historical Museum at Sunset and Broadway. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m., and will move down Broadway toward Main Street. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m.

Jolly Trolley

December 3rd, 2018 All Day - December 6th, 2018
Climb aboard our private Jolly Trolley and step into the world of your favorite Christmas stories! The night begins with story-telling around Central Park’s Christmas Tree as we patiently await the magical ride. Hot chocolate and cookies are provided while you wait. Once aboard the Jolly Trolley, we will whisk away to the Festival of Lights and enter the Winter Wonderland of over 125 displays of twinkling lights. The Jolly Trolley will return to Central Park. Arrive at one of the designated time slots below. First come, first serve.

Pie Making from Scratch

December 3rd, 2018 6:00 PM - December 17th, 2018 - 9:00 PM
Students will learn to make 6 different pies, pie dough, meringue, and fresh whipped cream; completely from scratch. You will make coconut cream, chocolate cream, pumpkin pecan, buttermilk, caramel apple, and triple berry pies. Join us and WOW everyone with your holiday treats. Students will leave with 2 pies per class.

Senior Trip to Festival of Lights

Senior Citizens (55+) will meet at the HFV Wilson Community Center and will travel to the Festival of Lights and receive a Christmas gift!

Toys for Tots Softball and Cornhole Tournament

Softball, Cornhole, and Toys for Tots! ‘Tis the Christmas Season! The softball tournament is a 250– USSSA– 7/3 Coed Tournament. The tournament is double elimination allowing only 4 homeruns per team or teams can pay $20 for unlimited homeruns. This event is a great way to have fun and give back just in time for Christmas! Breakfast with Santa & Candy Cane Scramble

This special event includes an early visit from Santa, a plated breakfast, holiday crafts, festive music, a small gift for each child, and holiday fun! Christmas is the season for love and giving to others. Children will also have the opportunity to make a special gift for a loved one. Don’t forget our candy cane scramble! Hundreds of candy canes will be scattered all over our yard! Children will have the opportunity to grab as many candy canes as possible during our Candy Cane Scramble!

How to Use Prescribed Fire for Wildlife and Livestock
