Scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, the OKFutures Moving Forward: 2019 Professional Development Conference is a wonderful training opportunity for both professionals and parents. This event will offer sessions on topics like brain development, learning through play, trauma-informed care and more! And participants will develop skills in managing behaviors, child/adult interactions, trauma and other existing barriers when working with children, birth to five years old. In addition, participants can earn six formal training hours through the Center for Early Childhood Professional Development or six Continuing Education Units. Registration is only $15 and includes lunch and snacks.

Festival of Trees is 1 of our biggest events and fundraisers that we have during our season. It is a sit-down dinner with cocktails & a silent auction that is usually accompanied by live music & dancing. Our 2 Star Trees, another important annual fundraiser, will be up at this time and will be on display from November 15th to January 15th. Also, this year's Festival is unique in that it will also be the Artist's Reception for renowned graphic artist and Ardmore native Michael Schwab. The Internal Revenue Service continues to interpret and publish guidance and regulations pertaining to the tax legislation passed by Congress in December 2017. Many of the tax law changes took effect in 2018, while a number of other changes become effective over time. Some changes will become effective for the 2019 tax year. It will be helpful for taxpayers to stay informed of these changes in order to do the best job of managing their taxable income. Many of the details will be discussed at this seminar. Tax professionals will be available to answer questions.

Bringing the gifts of our hunt from the field to the table can be one of the most rewarding experiences in outdoor recreation. This workshop will demonstrate the skills necessary to bring native game from the field to culinary masterpiece. Your fellow outdoorsmen, Noble Research Institute consultants, will demonstrate proper post-harvest animal and meat handling for popular species of large and small game. The workshop will conclude with a presentation of favorite recipes in a wild-beast feast. Come prepared to taste what nature provides and share your own stories and recipes with fellow hunters.

For more than 70 years, Texas Boys Choir has been instrumental in instilling a love of artistic expression and a desire to succeed in its young members. Today, Texas Center for Arts Academics is a strong voice in the North Texas arts community, and an active advocate for providing young people the means and opportunity to explore and excel in their lives. Since 1946, the mission of Texas Boys Choir has been to develop personal excellence & inspire a lifelong passion for choral artistry. Boys in grades 3-12 sing in treble, mixed, & men’s choirs under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. D. Jason Bishop. This project is generously funded by Mid-America Arts Alliance, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Oklahoma Arts Council.
